Tiago Rodrigues — International Hairdresser & Educator

Tiago Rodrigues is an international hairdresser, educator, and fourth-generation professional from a family with hairdressing at its heart. He began working in the industry at 13 years old and qualified as a professional hairdresser by the age of 16.

His early training was built in São Paulo, Brazil, including experience with Alissum Cabeleireiros in Americana, São Paulo, alongside extensive professional education with L'Oréal and Wella. At 23, Tiago moved to Dublin, Ireland, expanding his career internationally and continuing to learn from some of the industry's most respected names.

His education includes advanced training in London with Vidal Sassoon and TONI&GUY, in Berlin with Marcus Herrmann, and in France with Jacques Dessange, alongside ongoing training and industry development throughout his career.

Tiago has served as an ambassador and educator for GK Hair and TIGI Bed Head. Today, he is proud to be an ambassador and educator for Zuriel Cosmetics in the Cayman Islands.

His work combines strong technical foundations, international education, and a personal commitment to helping clients and professionals feel confident, informed, and inspired through hair.

Patch test — required before every application
1. Prepare a small quantity of colour according to the product instructions.
2. Apply a small amount of the mixture to the forearm or behind the ear.
3. Leave the area uncovered and remove the product with warm water after 40 minutes.
4. Wait 48 hours. If irritation, itching or burning appears on or near the area during this period, the product must not be used.

Tiago Rodrigues, known as Tiagublack, is a São Paulo–born electronic DJ with more than 18 years behind the decks. From the underground circuits of São Paulo to the nightlife of Dublin, he has carved a path that now places him at the forefront of the Cayman Islands’ electronic music scene — commanding main stages and curating the underground events that shape the island’s cultural landscape.

Recognised for a seamless fusion of disco, funk and techno, his sets are defined by energy, groove and storytelling. He has shared stages with Groove Armada, Green Velvet, Blond:ish, Claude VonStroke, ANNA, Mark Knight, Felix Da Housecat and DJ Glen — his longtime collaborator, with whom he co-founded the label and event series Discotech.
